In 2016, Pavel took over the management of CSIRT-MU and transformed it towards providing new services to Masaryk University. He considers as essential linking practice with high-quality research and pushing the boundaries of knowledge in cybersecurity. That is why Pavel participated in the founding of two national cybersecurity centers – the C4e Center of Excellence and the NC3 National Competence Center. He is aware of the importance of transferring knowledge to students and is involved in teaching and mentoring students. In 2018 he founded the Laboratory of Cybersecurity at the Faculty of Informatics.
Research and work with students is a significant motivation for Pavel to do what he does at university. Finding a suitable topic for a bachelor, diploma, or dissertation thesis is not easy. However, the first step is the hardest, so check the list of thesis topics and arrange a personal meeting.
